    Re: Epiphany

The flashes were really vexing me on this shot. I just dont know how to use them yet or what they are telling me when the screen flashes, or how to zoom the bloody things. And still, I am sure nobody will agree, but I think this is the single best photograph I have ever taken.

    Nah, probably not...

... a less processed version of another shot from the shoot. Good God I look old.

    Re: Epiphany

Good grief -- don't do that!!

Now that's just creepy (the first one). I have no idea how you did that, but you did it well. "Dark" is not for me, but yikes, you got "dark."

The little circle on the right needs to go away, I think. I like the compostion of the first best, but the catchlights best in the second one.

The big difference between the first and the second is the blending in of darker layers. The darkness enhances the red. I also selectively desaturated the second one a bit. Yeah the first one is very dark, and I really really like dark, but it is best to make things that are more subversively dark in my opinion. This looks like someone who just figured out heroin is bad m'kay.

Scary, that first one. lol. Something disturbing about your look there. I like the 2nd one also. I think a way to improve this would've been to include one of your funky hats and get the top of the head in too.

    Re: Epiphany

I was trying to do hyper close-up. I was literally about four inches away from the camera lens here. Not quite the best for the flash, but ultimately I ended up getting shots that I really like although I get they are a bit too macabre for general taste. They might actually be almost marketable to a third or fourth rate zombie movie advert. Haha.

Very strong. And disturbing as hell.
