There they are! I like the seond one, the 3rd is nice but to much glare and I think I would have not had the purse in the shot. Are there more?

    Re: engagement shoot

they are more but this are some of a few that I like. on the third photo I just add the glare into it and yes the purse, during the shoot I keep wonder if it ok to ask not to have her purse in the shot but then I did request no purse tower the end. BTW, they call earlier had some print out and very happy about it. Can't wait to shoot her bridal portraits though

    Thanks Lori,

Unless they are intentionally being used as props purses and sunglasses gotta go. Remember this on the wedding day.

    Re: engagement shoot

I like the glare, not the purse tho....

And something about the first, the water spraying up is not doing it for me. I like the concept, but not the execution. Do you have any others? I think it's the water being so blown out...

The other thing I always mention on the phone is clothing. If she's wearing dark tones, he should too. Obviously at the wedding you can't control that, but for an engagement session, you have some input. Imagine on that first one if he was in a darker shirt. The first thing you see now is that glowing white shirt.

On the plus side, they look totally comfortable, and you've got some good moments. Nice job.

I like the second one, but it seems tilted to the left, that kinda bugs me.

    Re: engagement shoot

First of I appriciated all the comment and your thought I alway humble for that, at least that how I learn from here. but lets look at a different perspective as a viewer that I'm not looking to have these shot going for a loan collection ppa or anything but rather show that a couple somewhat in a romantic mood by all mean nature beauti it self. Adina, yes I do expect and request them to have somewhat similar outfit as far as color wise for the shoot but that what the couple come up with so what can I say and do when they arrive at the location.

Once again thank you for all your C&C will post some for the bridal in a few month

    Happy shooting JT,

    Re: engagement shoot

I really dont like the water in the first picture, good concept gone wrong. But of the 3 thats the one they seem the most comfterble in. The second picture seems aquward like they are trying to force the intamacy but cant quite do it. another thing is the croping, you need more of the arch and less space under their feet. The third is alot more comfterble. But again the purse n sunglasses ruin the effect, i like the glare though. if these were my pictures id have that one up on my wall. Why did she keep her sunglasses in her hair the entire time? overall they are pretty good.

    Re: engagement shoot

If you look at 20 something girls you will see the sunglasses are usually on their heads daylight to dark. (I never even noticed them till someone pointed them out lol) Mostly used as an accessory now days. After looking again I still like the second but the third one has a cool look to it, I might even like it in B&W too.

    Re: engagement shoot

Good Point about the sunglasses being an accessory. Personaly i wouldnt want them in my engagment pictures but if they bride is happy and her mother is happy then, its a job well done. If you can please a picky bride (lets face it all bride are picky and their mothers are even worse) then your job is accomplished.
