    I like this picture alot but I think the flower competes with the color of the pot behind it......maybe a different background or desaturating the pot a little? Maybe even a b/w would look good? (try b/w with yellow filter)

    I think you could have used a little more depth of field and agree with Chow that the color splash of the pot messes up the line of the flower.
    No, I DON'T need that.

    I too like the background bowl. I think it would have made a better subject than the dead plant, though I can see your angle on the plant here.. It's a bit too unfocused to work imo. I think what makes the bg bowl interesting is the red/green color combo which are complementary colors!

    I like how you captured the picture. The title you used "end of life" says it all.
    I've taken every step in my life with appreciation that i may never pass this way again. Document memories with a camera on hand
