Not real sure what the deal is with all the spots, might be rain drops on the lens, a few minutes after I took the 5 exposures for this HDR, I got pretty wet in a spontaneous downpour...

I'll be glad to reshoot this subject in just about any weather, it's real easy to get to as well.

There isn't much about this I don't like (Great sky and use of fences!).

Can you get out there with a chainsaw and knock down those bushes on the left?

It's a dramatic shot - and not overdone as HDR can often be. Personally I think the bushes on the left are compositionally necessary - they stop the eye from wandering out the left of the picture.

Wondered where this was as I didn't recall anything like it in Port Orchard or environs.
Very moody, almost like something one would see in a post apocolyptic movie or something. Oh! That means I like it.

MR - Ok, l like all that is here, except that lower left fence. Ugh.. it really hurts my view of this beautiful place Really, I just wish that the lower fence and maybe the road wasn't there.

Next time, try hopping the barbed wire fence and getting a shot up closer so that the building appears taller in the shot, like a castle. And don't worry about the attack dogs they probably have roaming there. ............ just mace em

Very apocalyptic. I love it. To me it gives off the feeling of nuclear catastrophe like that of Chernobyl.

This is the third time I have looked at this shot and the first time I felt confident enough to comment on it. I love it. It is masterful, how the buiding is lit and textured. I find that it lends an organic quality to the image. The building looks almost as if grows out of the light area viewers left into the darker space to the right. Lightness to darkness, the subtle invocation of impending apocolypse. The way the dark windows appear its just so well done. A very impressive work. It is a statement that is articulate and complex and it deserves recognition as such.

I just summarized what everyone said and added the bit about the windows .Doesn't make it any less true, but I certainly never would have hit the apocolyptic bend if someone hadn't pointed it out. I need to say that, because there is no way I want any kind of "communal apocolyptic memory" to gain ground . Mad Max, everyone has seen it, its a common visual reference....

I'll definitely be returning to this location, except...instead of hopping the fence, I'll drive west a few blocks and drive up to the gravel parking lot of the mill....waiting for a "scary sky." I feel that the chain link fence is essential for depth and to kinda make it a little more "scary"
The white fence, I feel, serves to set a contrast, scary places like mills, and scary formations in the sky called clouds, allow for us to eat our breakfast cereals, and sourdough bread...you know, the comforts of home...American dream etc.

First look did not impress me, but when I looked at the larger full size, WOW!!!..What a great picture...Take a clone tool to fix those spots and you have a picture that should be framed and put up for all to enjoy...What a great picture....It would also make for a really nice wall paper for a computer...
