I would appreciate your thoughts about the attached pic. It was shot earlier this spring under natural light. It was cropped to the format you see. What do you think? Thanks in advance.

I like the concept. I think i would like it more though if you zoomed out a bit, got more of the area in. That would show more of what's going on.

I've found that zoomed-in shots are great when the subject is very interesting or has something about them that you want to see. I like the leaf, but in all honesty how interesting can it be? It is very monochromatic. If there was some water drops on it, might be better. Also, it's a tad bit soft and could use a bit more DOF. I guess every shot has to be considered, and this one might have been better with a wider focal length.

Yes I have to agree with GB1 as just the leaves, there is something missing.
