Interesting DOF. I looked at it from other croppings and think it works even better with just the feet and part of the legs showing. The rest is not important. Nice B&W touch.

Wow, I was scrolling down slow and I was like "ooh, this shouldn't be on here "

Then I saw some feet and realized it was your kiddo. Nice DOF and good picture.

    Re: Busy day?

    Alison,

There are pictures of young children posted all the time. I can't remember one that captured the essence of being that age better than this one. You captured the non-stop energy state and the completely zonked out state in one image! There's another thing that's great about this shot. It seems like 99% of photographers won't push the shutter button unless there's a rainbow or a butterfly in front of their lens. The bottom of feet are a truly great subject for an image, particularly when they're used to convey a specific message like you've done.

I also have the 50mm f/1.8 and love the ability of it to get narrow depth of field and to shoot in low light.

    Great job,
    jbf

    Re: Busy day?

    Thank you all so much.
I have decided to post the colour version because seeing the colours is working for me much better than the mono.
I feel, I am losing alot in the mono version.
    What do you think?

    Re: Busy day?

The colors are very strong and complimentary. I think I would decrease the saturation towards the top of the image. The strong colors near the top draw my attention away from the feet.

    Just a thought,
    jbf
