    Something different

Is this image worth saving, or should I send it to the recycle bin?

For this kind of work, I believe that the leaf should be sharper and more textured. Your focus appears to be slightly off. The lighting and the color rendition are really nice.

    Re: Something different

I agree it should've been a bit sharper to make the details stand out a bit more. Love the contrast between the fall tones/dead leaf and the water though. I also like the colours and composition though I think it might have been better if some of the stem was outside the frame. Very nice image overall.

    Re: Something different

sorry i was going to comment on this awhile ago and forgot.
i like the concept and the colors are great, my problem with this image is in the subject. the dark spots on the leaf near the tip blend in to the background and bother me.

I'm gonna go against the grain here and say I like it a lot. It could use a little sharpening but I do like the colors.

I personally like it the way it is...
You could probably make a poster of that and sell it, =)
its really good, I dont think you should change it

    Re: Something different

Yes I also think it should be sharper (surprised that the high contrast doesn't display it as sharper). But I think it's a keeper. Looks like a microscope shot
