    The Elements of "I Do"

I had the opportunity to take some shots at a friends wedding a couple of weeks ago. I have no wedding experience and was completely out of my element. It rained and the shooting conditions were less than desirable. Here are some edited images of a few of the details of the day. I'd love some constructive feedback. What could I have done better? What should I have done differently? (Photographing and Editing alike) Thanks!!!!

well, just those two images give us very little to go by. They look well exposed and processed, the boquet shot is cool, but I wouldn't have included the jar, and I would have filled the frame a little more personally. How about shots with the bride/groom?

Unfortunately by the time the wedding started is about eight pm and the light was almost gone. I had a flash but not well enough equipped with it for it to actually help. I didn't get but a very few of the bride and groom.

The first two shots are nice. The jar's significance is a bit of a question, but regardless, I liked the coloring and soft focus around the edge of the bouquet. The long shadow behind the heels is quite clever. You were thrown to the lions a bit, hey???

I like your first two shots there Crystal and the bride-groom shot isn't bad either. I would zoom in on that one. The shoes are really neat IMO,.. try leaving more space below them, which is equivalent to leaving more space in front of a moving subject to show where they're heading. I like the vignette. The flowers are nice but maybe crop a little off the left. Very creative shots.
