    Earth and Water

A bit of fun post-editing. Let me know what you think.

    Re: Earth and Water

This scene looks like one I could really enjoy except:

It is showing up darker for me than seems to truly enhance the beach scene. There is still some detail, but the foreground needs some work or it provides to much negative space. I am seeing to much adjustment in probably either the overall level or some adjustment that has affected them.

I feel that this picture with its 'shape' and composition has potential.

Looks like even a reduction in the amount of blue might help??

This monitor just was recalibrated this AM so I don't believe it is all me.

Good start, but perhaps a little less 'fun'.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Re: Earth and Water

thanks for all the comments drg. just for the record, this was taken in bright sunshine in the middle of the day, i just wanted a different "feel" to the photo because it was boring otherwise. so i took it in incandescent and then adjusted the levels so that it was darker and had more of a nighttime look to it. i kind of liked the result, even though it isn't terribly representative of a beach scene. it was more of an attempt at intentional unrealism lol. I do agree though that the negative space in the bottom left is unnecessary and should be cropped out.
