    Earth or Moon?

    Another day out on Sandyhook. Very cold out there.
    What do you think?







    Nikon D70s.

    I really like the 3rd one--the texture of the different textures are great. You must have picked a prime time for shooting, too..the light really shows off all the rough and smooth edges.

    The third one is best in terms of texture and tones although the crop is too tight at the top. I would also brighten up the dark areas of some of the rocks a little.

    I really like this series of shots, especially the third, counting from the top. Nice angles and shapes, the edges of the rocks, detail in the grains of sand... tones are soft but full. Nice job on this shot.

    All very interesting and visually pleasing shots. I have always felt that out in the sand and rocks you have little to work with, and therefore have to make the most of what you DO have - sun, shadow, and shapes, plus DOF. You have successfully done that here, IMO. I like # 1 the best, but dont really like how the background is so dark compared to the snowy (?) foreground. (Guess you can't have everything.)

    i like them all but i also like the 3rd one with the different shaped rocks sprawled in the sand good texture, i like the lighting as well
