    Dunnes The Butchers

Spent yesterday going through my late Dad's papers and so many memories came flooding back like when as a child I often visited this butchers to collect "the meat" for my Mum. I decided to photograph lots of these and here is one of my favourites. May have a look at this in B/W later but I think the colour is OK.
Does it make a good photograph?
    Thanks
    Tom

I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan

A delightful image that really captures a sense of yesteryear. I like the color of the paper aging and the rust from the paper clip.

Yes, it's a good one, and keep it in colour !
The rust, the faded paper, the ink, it all looks great.

This one has to be in color (you would loose so much in b&w) and yes, it works as a photograph. I like your solid black backdrop.

You've done a fantastic job of capturing the age of the parchment. Both technically and aesthetically.

    Absolutely fascinating stuff.

    Hi Tom.
The image is good but it seems more to me an archive than a photo. I am sure it brings a lot of good memories to you.
