    Are the ducks real?

I like this photo, but I think there are a few problems. Please throw in your 2 cents.

BTW, the ducks are real and it was natural lighting, but don't they look fake or something?

I like the color but the horizon is tilted a bit. I'd also maybe trim some off the right side.

The ducks aren't in the best pose here, their overlapping each other is really hurting the shot. Great exposure.

Maybe ever so slightly lower angle so the trees didn't block the buildings. It is also leaning a little, but it is a very nice shot. The one bare limb could easily be cloned.

    Re: Are the ducks real?

Arne, this is a rich photo with vibrant color, tones and well exposed. I think you have some pretty good feedback on this one already in the tilted horizon and as Greg mentioned getting a bit lower to get the trees out from in front of the buildings. Not all that big a deal really, but opening up a little space there on top could help.
The placement of the ducks looking out into the frame and also looking into the pond is good. They look real to me. The only problems with the ducks are as mentioned before the overlap of the two and then I might add that the lighting coming in from behind them exposing their rears and leaving their heads in shadow is not ideal.
So all in all it really is a nicely composed scene of a tranquil spot that just could have benefited from a better light at a different time of day. Still very nice as it stands
