    dry roses

    Hello

Today I would like to post here 3 photos with dry roses. What do you think about them.
Judge my photos ,please, from 1(excellent) to 6 (hopeless).
    And make some comments.
I know they are not the best. But how bad they really are?
If you can give me some useful clues/links - I am very thankful

    Re: dry roses

    Green,

The vase seems to be tilted to me or is this an optical illusion.

Some of the things that I noted:
    1. Move the vase away from the wall to give a better separation of the flowers from the backgroung

    2. A different colour background, the one in the photo does not show the flower at their best

3.You need to show all of the vase as in #2

    4. you need a bit more saturation in the flowers to bring out a bit more of the colours

    Hope that helps.

    Re: dry roses

    Hello

Thanks for your clues. Very useful. I also came to conclusion that I need more colourful backgrounds and something to put a vase on on to have it whole on the picture + bit further from the wall (the background). I will try to correct my errors soon
Of course natural flowers would be better (at least roses). But I didn't have any at hand.
Also different background needs to be prepared.

    Re: dry roses

I agree that the bg is not the right color.
If I was shooting it, I would use no bg by taking it outside at night or turning the lights out inside, putting it on something black and then using different flash exposures or some sort of lighting.
This would put the vase and flowers to appear suspended in black.
Since they're dried and will be around a while, you could experiment with lots of variations.
    Keep Shooting!
