    Toronto reflection

Here is a picture from my recent journey in late february.

The sky was dreary and I didn't wanted a boring straight forward shot of the CN tower....

    Comments are welcome.

Well Seb it's definitely not boring. Interesting what the glass did to the reflections though.

Great Idea. One cannot change the elements and if its's a dreary day you do the best you can and I think you did excellent.

    Seb,

Certainly an interesting take on the CN tower. You could even crop it so it's just that panel of glass, not the one on the right. They both work together, but if you wanted exclusively the tower, I think it would work. I love the colors, and how it twists and bends. If I would edit anything, it would be the dark area in the dead center, other then that, nice shot!

    Neat shooting,

    great shot
I think though, i'd prefer to see only glass with a reflection, without a gap in the middle.
great idea - to see not picture but a reflection of it.

Seb. . .very creative and good framing. I like the gap in the middle as it lends to depth and character. Almost gives it an abstract quality. I wouldn't change a thing. nice work

Another great photo the way it is, great comp, nicely balanced. I did crop to just the left glass & cropped the metal off the sides & bottom. It makes a nice vertical pano W/ religeous overtones, to me any way. Not better, just different.
Great shot the way it is,
    Mark.

I like the reflection off the building. I also like the view of the brown building in front of the tower. It adds some depth to the reflection.

    Hi Seb,

Thumbs up! I really like this. I tried covering the right side of your image, but didn't like the result. Ergo, I think the composition works.

Having spent a few days shooting buildings not too long ago, I sure appreciate your submission. I just dig how building reflections are distorted in some way. Is this the only shot you took? If you have more, I'd like to see them.

    Hello guys,

    Thanks for the generous imput.

OldSchool: I have this kind of self-portrait shot against the very same wall. That's my only other picture using reflections.

    regards

    Seb,

I must comment on your most recent shot. Just stunning! It looks like a little oasis in this urban setting with that tree in there! Nice shot,

    Both images

I love this last image. I enjoy creative self-portraits. This one is great.

The initial photo is also very nice. I think dreary days are challenges to make something out of whatever you see vs "what you see is what you get." I like the way the tower is "bent out of shape." I also like the dividing "wall" in the middle. It adds to the overall image.
