    Drive Wheels

A detail of the train featured in "Steam Power". Again, I'm interested on your comments.
    Thanks again (in advance),

    Tim,

I really like the colours in this photo along with the composition and geometry of all the interconnecting parts. One thing you may want to do is to crop the shadows at the top of the photo as this area of the photo does not add anything in my opinion.

I think you've done a good job of catching some of the power of the engine with this shot. It's busy but that just gives us a lot to look at and wonder at all those linkages. You've given me an urge to understand how it all works. It's nice that it is obviously a working engine and not just all shined up for display.

    Re: Drive Wheels

    Thanks guys,

Roger, I think your idea about the crop may work. However, (for some reason) I try and stay with a full-frame aspect ratio just in case I want to make a 4x6, 8x12, or 10x15 print. I find this challenging at times because croping out marginal elements sometimes also removes desired things.

    Cheers,
    Tim
