    Dreaming about Her

This shot is an ideal I had while taking a Sunday evening walk with family. Is the concept OK? Let me know what you think. I want to make the next one better.

    Re: Dreaming about Her

Great conecpt but there's a few things I think would make this shot work better. First, wearing a lighter colored shirt would catch my eye better to see the silhouette figure in the water. Secondly, it almost seems like there's algae or something near your face/eyes. Personally, I love any reflection idea, and this is an interesting take on it. Great idea, and if you get to reshoot it I think it would turn out great!

    Just my two cents,

    Jared

Thanks Jared. In my mind, I have done a re-shoot with the figure (my daughter) being much clearer. As you can see, the pool of water was very shallow.

No problem Dudley. I'd love to see this reshoot once you get around to it! Great potential!

I love the concept. But to give how people perceive things differently--- my first take on it was the reflected image was that of the dreamer, looking for a vision within the reflection of the water. I take it your perspective of it was as the reflection was the dream image. Either way, it makes for an intregueing photo. I would like to have the reflected image stand out just a tad more as well.

Great idea Dudley! Like others have said........lighter clothing, and it looks like the sun is on one side. If maybe she could turn with the sun directly in front of her so it is reflecting straight up??
The concept is super. Looking forward to the re-shoot.

This is a good concept and this is not a bad attempt. I think you would just need to find a different puddle , one a bit deeper and maybe a bit cleaner. Also would try to catch it a time of day where sun is not shining on the water. I like how you have the edge of the puddle, with the pebbles, in the edge of the frame. Good idea, look forward to the reshoot.
