Hey am new to the photo world have been taking pcs for years with point and shoot but decided to get seriouse about it, this is my first attempt with a dSLR. The subject is a pet of mine and am just looking for any and all critique, good and bad thank you.

nice bearded dragon. Not bad needs more contrast need to crop that piece of wood out totally or include in the pic when draco is walking up on it. plus crop the top down. make sure you understand the rule of Thirds. other then that your first pic is good

Not bad! I like the soft colors and good background.
I'd like to see more at bottom. Its collar is cut off at bottom.
