    Re: Downtown Columbus

    Hi PT195,

I like your choice of black and white over color here. The first and third images you have posted hold the most interest for me. The second seems to be lacking a strong subject, is it the field, is it the building on the other side of the empty lot? I can't tell.
The first and second images have better defined subjects but when purposefully including wording in your images really ask yourself if anyone is going to get your point. Based on the title of our post I know you are in Downtown Columbus. The third picture is the only one that really tells me something of that title's fulfillment, although I am sure most towns and cities on the East Coast these days have a Cleveland Street too.

Bottom shot---doesn't do anything for me. Whatever's blocking the shot (vertical bars) spoils the view. I don't quite get the point, I'm afraid.
Middle shot--I agree with C.L. on this...it needs something, but I'm not sure what...maybe a couple of broken chairs or an old refrigerator or something.
Top shot--I like very much, although I think it could be straightened.
