    Downtown Backside

Backside of a building on the main street through downtown Petaluma. Saw the brightly lit back area of 24 Hour Fitness contrasting with the neglected back of the building next door.

    Re: Downtown Backside

Mr Yuck - I like the contrast of the photo, It draws one's interest and has a dreamy feel. All sorts of objects here - the doors, the fence, manholes (?), etc. But I feel that the photo lacks a subject, or any particular object that could act as one. Sometimes you have to ask yourself why am I taking this shot, or what am I trying to tell the viewer. If you can't answer that, that might be an indication that something is missing. Anyways, nice contrast.

Yeah, it's terrible but I wished there was someone sleeping in there...maybe next time I'll put it on a timer and make it a self portrait

From the middle of the image to the left needs to be burned in. There's hardly any detail and it looks washed out on my monitor.

Too bad all the people who know how to run this country are busy running taxicabs or cutting hair.
