    Triple Falls

Went up to triple falls in dupont a weekend ago to shoot w/ my photography class, and as my luck had it, some kyakers showed up. after resizing to fit on this site, they're not quite as sharp as the actual shot is, but please let me know what you think.

I like the second one the best. Really great action!

Any time you have fast moving water, shutter speed is always an issue. Though I believe most of the pics are sharp and not blurry, atleast in the second picture, having the water not all white would be nice, but of course, that's hard to adjust considering the fastness of the white water.

    Great shooting though,

The second one is my favorite, as well. It is a very unique action shot and gives one the feeling of speed and precarious balance. It just feels dangerous and dramatic. The DOF is excellent.

I do feel the need to be closer, however. I almost strain to get closer to the action. Perhaps if you cropped a little off the top and right side so the kayak ends up at the top, right 1/3 of the photo, it would draw the eye right to the subject. The third shot is actually closer to what I mean, although it, too could use a little cropping off the right side. Tough call; you just might want to experiment a little and see what you think.

Great action shots! Number two is my favorite as well, but I agree with Paul that a closer perspective would be better. I would also like to see a wide angle shot of the falls to get an idea of just how steep it is.

I would have liked a closer shot, but I only have a 35-70mm on my canon. Luckily I was with my class so I was able to borrow a 28-105 for most of those, and I think one of those was shot with a 100-300L. I'll try some cropping to bring it closer, thanks for the comments.
