    Down The Line--2 crops. Which is better?

    I like the first crop better, even though it looks like the baseball players are about to moon us

    The only thing I wouldof liked to see was a little more depth of field. It seems that home plate is in focus with everthing else blurred.

    Better is a relative term. I don't think either picture works but I like what you're trying to achive. Soft focus could work in the horizontal image (top) if you had included home plate in focus.

    Landscape crop. The square crop has the white line almost through the middle, and makes me want something at the end.

    However, I prefer the placement of the plate in the square crop.

    i'd like to see some action in this shot, somebody sliding into home, or heck, even running. it seems (probably because it is) empty....

    Thanks for your comments everyone. I wanted to try something a little different from the normal ballpark shots. Your points are noted, and hopefully the next time I try something of this nature I'll keep those in mind.
