I don't mind the flare, I kind of like it. I wish the sun was lower though, almost at the horizon with its rays going up and the rays of the puddle going down. Sounds a little too complicated though, I don't even know if that's possible. Good light through out the scene, I like the almost silhouette look to far trees with the very long shadows and the scattered light in the foreground, it's lighting up the FG pretty nice.

Yeah I like the flare too. I do think a landscape crop would have been better. Putting the reflection in the lower left third of the shot. Take some more off of the bottom and crop the top just above the clouds and let's see it.
I am like Barney Fife, I have a gun but Andy makes me keep the bullet in my pocket..
Yeah, I actually thought of portrait landscape version as well ...after the fact, of course. The location is not far from my home, so I can definitely go back ...here is the cropped idea ...
I don't care for the landscape crop at all, I think it made the image dull and you lost the yellow flowers in the foreground. I'd try a vertical crop in mid-distance between the two trees on the right hand side.
Very pretty. Looks like a stock photo for a wine advertisement or cheese, or something else wholesome and natural. I do think there is a little too much sky in all of the versions, but I like the first one you posted the best.
I like the very rustic and warm colors here. I think I actually prefer the full, uncropped version, but definitely like your experimentation. If there were just a little stronger foreground it would really make it stand out; say, a rose bush (or ?). The sky is a tad bland, but the image survives that.

Let me preface by saying I have been using Corel all this time and I am spending my time learning Photoshop here and there ....that said...the next version contains some of the improvement: healthy look, foreground interest, making sky a wee bit more interesting and such ...
I hope everyone can take a joke, I have not tried this before :-)
