    Unless this photo was taken with a 800 million billion mm lens, then you my friend, have balls. Amazingly sharp. I wish however, the background was of a colour, which accentuated the snake more. Something less earthly (brown red gray) and more of a green.

    Taken with a G3 so I was about 2 feet away from him. He was acting pretty docile but I always use the camera to block any unexpected surprises. G3 - the snake blocker..lol
    Actually, I've been handling snakes all my life so I've got "somewhat" of a feel for their disposition. Even so, I always try to be safe..Jason

    I browsed through your website . What beautiful photo's you got there !
    I must mention this one you have there under the mildly venomous snakes. The mexican Hognose . That photo is absolutly amaizing ! Wow ! The one with the snake's mouth open ready to strike !
    I am sure you will enjoy it here , here are about 130 species of different snakes of which about 14 are deadly .

    Thanks again James glad you liked it. I bet I could have a blast down there in South Africa with all the interesting animals you have there. You're lucky to have all those opportunities. I'm gussing you're reffering to this photo. I wish it had been taken with a higher res camera. I took it several years ago with a Kodak DC 290 (very slow camera) so it was a lucky shot.     The bottom picture is amazing, the catch light in the eye of the snake, thats a wall hanging picture
