    Don't Point That Way!

Is it just me or does it bother you that the guy is pointing in the direction that he is? Featureless sky doesn't help either. Let me know what you think.

The colors in the trees are great. Next time take a pellet gun and just shoot anyone in the way

I love the colors, and the sky doesn't bother me at all, but the subject you have claimed in your title is awfully small in the picture. I'm sure full size the feeling is portrayed alot better, but the guy pointing almost becomes an after thought IMO, almost a nuisance.

That being said, the colors are amazing and I still do like the shot.

Thanks, Payn and Jared, for taking the time to comment.

Yeah, the guys are pretty prominent in print. I actually wanted them in the shot being a fisherman myself. I have them not pointing but it looks too static. This one shows action, just not exactly as I would have liked.

Loupey.....the colors are hellacious, and what a shot it would be with a blue sky. You gotta go back and get one.

    Re: Don't Point That Way!

Thanks, John. I hope to go back. It's actually closer to you than it is to me as it was shot around Manistee, MI. For me to get back will take about 7 1/2 hours

I'll tell you what, that shot was taken during a two day trip to see the fall colors in October of last year. I took my family, my parents, and my wife's parents on a convoy and I couldn't have timed it any better. John, your state was on FIRE those two days.

I'll post some other shots that I took during that trip. We'll see if I did your state justice. Everyone I took was breathless with what we were seeing out of our windows.
