    Re: Dog Days

I love the potential for this shot but just a few nit picks for me. The shot seems a tad dark for me...I know it was taken in the shade and all, but I think some sunlight on the dogs face/cone would look great if possible. Secondly, the tube in the water to the left distracts from the dog IMO. The angle works well, though the contrasting sunny daylight in the background is somewhat of a concern for me.

A good shot, just a few things to work on,

well, i was trying to crop out the hose and the bright background because i saw it was distracting but if i cropped i would loose the dof and the angle which i really enjoy and i can dodge his face and the cone to brighten
    thanks for the comments

I agree with the image being a tad too dark but i would suggest taking a shot from the animals eye level, it means getting into some awkward positions, i lay on the floor with the animal coming towards you for example, it stll gives good DOF and and you still manage to get creative shots, taking your pictures from eye level will give the animal more expression and feeling to the picture, but well done and show us more please! www.k9imageworld.com

Love the composition on this. I'm in agreement with Jared and Bevb on their critiques.

Too bad he wasn't looking at you. Then it would be classic.
