    dock at dusk

I would be interested in some opinions on this shot taken last year on a camping trip. What say you?

Absolutely Stunning picture!! The ONLY thing that I see is that it seems to be tilting just a hair to the left. You got a great moment there......the reflection in the water is great!! I also notice the top right sky is blown out just a little but I do not think it compromises the picture at all!

    Fantastic Job!!

I love it. Wouldn't change a single thing IMO.

    Great reflection.

That's beautiful. The colors are very rich, and the setting is simple. Love it!

    Re: dock at dusk

    Hi gimp.
Thank you for sharing the picture of the dock with us. I noted with a question, "Whats Missing" as I felt the picture had something more to it than we could see.

Maybe I am the only one that was looking for it, I did not mean to be rude to you, nor was it my intent to belittle the work you presented.

I just wanted to see the rest of the story.

Sometimes, and one day they will lock me away fer sure, but sometimes, the picture is not in what you see, but what you dont see.

Below, as you see, I have simply cropped the image tighter, then rotated if and flipped it. The reflection in the original is so perfect, this way up, it becomes a sky, and a very nice one too.The dock becomes, well, something else. But maybe the picture was only there in my own mind, but it was one that could not come alive, if you had not shared.

I have copied my view below, not as a challenge to your excellent work, but to simply share how I think I saw your image.

I'm with the others here...I think this is quite beautiful. The colors are great, the reflection is just amazing, with the water being so still. And the lighting, especially on the dock, is perfect.
The only thing, as Chow noted, is the bit of sky that's blown out...but really, it doesn't detract from the rest of the pic, at least for me.
