The 2nd one is the better of the IMO. The 1st one just doesn't have anything that pops out. It's also a bit grey with no real change in tonality or contrast.
The 2nd has all that, but there are a couple of things that distract me, the leafs to the left and the black object to the right. But I love the contrast in this one. The object is very well lit as well and it stands out for that reason.
