    Desert Sands

I visited out new library today and made some images to use as the basis for some abstracts. This is one I have done a bit of work on.

    Re: Desert Sands

I have mixed feelings on your image here, Keith. I like how you zoomed into a part of the structure to capture a nice abstract. the colors are vibrant and the overall flatness is quite contemporary looking, I think.

On the other side, I do think the image feels slightly cramped at the top, like the curvy area is almost falling (rising?) out of the frame. But what bothers me the most is it's lack of sharpness/depth of field in many parts of it: I think it would be a much stronger photograph if the lower right vertical was all sharp along with the top part; same with the far left arch area. If I had to guess, you may have set the aperture very wide open so to get a fast shutter speed. The best way to solve this is with a tripod.

Anyway -- Welcome to the PR forums.. Hope to see more.
