    Denim in portraits.

I'm liking the contrast in the textures of the denim better in BW. I've been attempting more deliberately handled BW conversion processes, paying more attention to the color sliders to achieve the result I most want out of the contrast. Would like any feedback and critique, or ideas for process improvement. Thanks for looking.

I really like the conversion and don't really see how it could be improved. Your attention to detail paid off. Nice work.

    Re: Denim in portraits.

One of the most enjoyable photographs I have seen in a while. It is so natural; totally devoid of the obsession with ultra sharpness and technical perfection. It is real. What needs to be sharp is sharp but not over sharp.

The hand, that I missed initially because of the beautiful face, sort of points us to exactly to what it is that is putting the lovely smile on his face and we can have fun thinking about that.
It's got a timeless feel to it and I love it.

Wow! Thank you all for the feedback. There were a couple concerns I had about this image, but I'm glad to see such positive response to it.

He was not very cooperative, so I had to get stupid goofy with him, I'm really glad his hand landed where it did, an inch over and it would have been outta frame!
