Fruits serie

I am not a big fan of Fruit still life but something about this photo graps my interest - like who cut the shape in the ?mango? why did he/she choose that shape, makes it interesting.

However I find the colours a little dull and wonder if more saturation would be better? Even the imperfections in the fruit look okay to me as they add a little more interest to the shot. Now if the saturation is increased then the imperfections could cause a problem. Hmmm!
