Back at the farm (take 2)

I tried this a good while back, with a Koak DX7630. Did it again with the 5D and a polarizer. Something always draws me to this place.

Good composition, sharp - and great color. I don't see anything I would change. I love the color especially.

    The 5D.......cool

Naw, not that 5D. I wish it was, the KM 5D in my case, but I love it and will stand by it until it no longer serves.

    Thanks for your comment Liz.

Good job on this...I really like the sky. I do wish you had more contrast between the grass and fence (nitpick). I like how the silo is dead center, it works on this photo.
    Beautiful day, good capture.

    Cheers.

What a bunch of fluffy clouds! This is quite the pastoral scene Payn. Love the composition of the fence, farm and clouds. If it were mine I would goose the shadow areas just a bit to separate the details of the farm and forest but that's a personal preference and I haven't seen it at full size which I am sure makes all the difference.
Ooh, just had a quick flash of inspiration, this looks like a great subject to try out that "painted" technique that was posted a while back. Should be able to do it with PSE. Here's the thread link if you want to check it out.

Great composition Payn and I really like the clouds that float around the strong structure of the grain silo. I wasn't sure about the silo being placed so centrally in the image but the fence manages to divert the attention from this fact, nicely done.

The fence is perfectly placed, it leads my eyes very well. Very nice skies & clouds also. Over all a nice addition to your farm series

You saw this one very well Payn.....I can see why you keep coming back. You might want to try it in the winter too.

Re: Back at the farm (take 2)

i like this one! good timing, great exposure and composition. although its a great shot on its own and nothing to complain about really, I'd like to see what it would look like from a higher view - looking more downward and putting more emphassis on the fence
