    The Resort

Catalonia Playa Maroma Resort in the Mayan Riviera in Mexico. This is an HDR but light. I think I introduced some artifacts and the such. I hate those. Let me know what you think.

Very pretty. The composition is kind of centered and symmetrical, but I am not sure what else you could do with this. It seems the right choice. It is a shame the moon isn't a bit lower and farther left as that would be a useful break in the symmetry.

    Re: The Resort

    hi daq,
i was about to share this 'regular' shot to contrast that one just before you chimed in :-)
but i find it answers your question even a little. the moon isn't to the side here too much but is semi covered and the real offset is the lady to the right.

is this more harmonious? i love the latter shot but it's part of a time lapse that i shot in jpeg small on my cam. can't really print it big. just enjoy it in video format.

Both shots needs a little more space left and right. Exposure is better on the first one hence I would prefer to see the lady in the first one.
Great ideas at work here Liban.

For me the second one is a bit better, just because the moon is more interesting looking. Some might think it is bad to pull the attention away from the center of interest, but I like it.

I like #1 even though it may be centered and all that. I think this works well. I would like to have seen a few less blown out areas and the moon treatment in #2 applied to #1.
    Nice mood.

Number one is the shot for me. The only thing that bugs me is the blown out window. The rest of it is great.

    Thanks guys

Tom, yeah, it was my widest possible shot. you're right though it's kinda tight.

Greg, I can probably fix that as #1 is an HDR. just gotta tweek it
