    Hi db,

I really love the feel of this. The tones just appeal to me. I can't explain it, but it just screams quality. I also like the concept you got going here. The story is well told. I like everything about it. The dof also works, I wish the foreground wasn't so blurred a bit, but it works.

    Oh, so sad.

It's a good thing when a picture evokes an emotion.

I think you nailed it As Shebang noted this shot evokes strong emotion, and that's a very good thing!

I really love this one, db. I'm debating as to whether or not I'd like to see the top cropped just enough to leave out the end of the deck (or whatever it is). Excellent either way, though.

Oh, and awesome DoF. Just right. Was this a macro lens?

Thanks! This I shot a while back and I either used a p&s or my old D50 with 18-55 or 55-200 vr's but I think it may been the former.
