By keeping to the grey tones and no white, this gives a dark, dreary look.
Certainly shows the dead aspect of winter, with all the colour drained out of the landscape.
You might want to straighten it a bit. It's pretty dark on my monitor and I can't tell if the subject is looking at the camera or away. You might want to crop the cars out also.

Nice shot, but was this really how light it was outside or was the meter fooled a little by the light reflected off of the snow? The pose could be a little better here (ha.. like the person here really cares). I like the top part of the photo, but the bottom half reminds me of a worst side of living up north - ice, slush, etc.
