    Days Gone By

Hubby was driving us home when this scene caught my eye. I took a shot of it through the front windscreen of our moving car.
And, as with most of my photography, it was taken using my 50mm 1.8 MKII.

Your thoughts, as always, are much appreciated. TIA

Just a very ordinary shot till you converted to b&w and poped the contrast. You made a scene that was so so into a very nice photograph.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

This is a good reason to always keep your windshield clean.

BTW I like the sky exposure a lot but I can't help wishing for a little more detail in the foreground.

    Alison,

I like the composition, however the burnt out sky and the foreground being so dark leaves me wanting more from this shot. Perhaps slightly lower the contrast would help.

However I kind of like it as is too - and the fact that you got this through the windscreen makes me embarrassed and I probably should wash my car. I'd have two obvious arcs on the pic from my car.

Not sure if any of the above makes sense but I guess the photo's giving me a hard time deciding.

Spend a couple of minutes on this so see what you think?

I used the Blue and Green channels and masks to get this result. I can send the PSD file if you want.

Alison - I find the sky and sunbeams nice, but I'm not sure about the rest of the shot. I find it somewhat wanting, like there just isn't enough here. Sorry..

    Re: Days Gone By

Roger - Hmmm I dunno to be honest. I'm not sure if I like it with the foreground showing. But then I don't really know what I am doing with these sorts of shots.
Thank you so much for taking the time to show me.

GB - I'm cool with whatever cc is given about my photography. How else am I supposed to learn?

Thanks everyone, for stopping by, looking at and commenting on, my photograph. It's great to hear what other people think.

    Re: Days Gone By

    Alison,

I didn't spend a whole lot of time on this. My feeling is that the original you posted is too flat and a little foreground detail would give it that extra dimension.

As usual its just my opinion.
