Day at the Lake....

Just a few pics of my kids in a recent trip to a nearby lake. Love the innocence of their eyes and how easy they enjoy the little things. Hope you like them.

It's a nice portrait of her, too but i think she could use a crop to eliminate the uneven amount of space on the side. As with in the first photo of your boy at the beach looking in the water - i think about 40 % of the top half of the photo should go; it's empty space and leads the eye away from him; who is the main subject of the photograph.

Agree with Kajuah on the top shot...too much water that really doesn't add anything to the composition or the feeling of it. I'm thinking that maybe your son is in the wrong spot on that bottom one...that he should be a little more to the right. JMHO.

I agree that the first image needs a crop off the top. Second image is very good. I like the candid pose and the interesting treee he is propped against.
The third is fine and the lighting on her face very good.
In the last image, the boy should be looking into the frame rather than out of the frame. Placing off to the side was good, but with the way he is facing you should have placed him in the right side of the image or wait for him to turn around.

I agree with the composition suggestions that the others have made. The shot of your girl is the best here, though I wish you shot from a little lower.
