Hmmm I really like this but I think the black is just a tad bit too harsh. Or maybe that's not exactly it, something is nagging me about it but I can't quite put my finger on it. She looks caught in space, it would have been cool if you could suspend her, make her dress flow outward in air to give it a more timeless feel. Sorry I couldn't better articulate...it's a very intriguing photo but there's something that is keeping it impersonal. But maybe that was your intention. I'm going to stop now heh.
The black is indeed harsh, especially around her right hand. I like the idea though. very good. was she wearing jeans underneath the dress? I see bulges around the waste line that I can't explain otherwise.

I like the texture of the sheets. There's something out of place on the upper right corner though. The whole thing has quite a voyeuristic, if not stalkerish look though. It also lends the question of why shes pushing up like that.

Thanks for commenting. This model will be great to have available around Halloween (! ! !) as she loves posing in odd makeup and outfits. Her next outfit was even better, but I didn't get the chance to shoot her in it.
Hmm... I'm not sure what everyone means about the black being harsh? To me, the black gives it a morbid feeling, which sorta fits. The dark harshness may be a strength here, as making it soft would I think create two different moods - morbid and, perhaps, pleasant - shooting off in different directions. But I think a shot like this will indeed have many interpretations, and it's interesting to hear your viewpoints.
This particular pose would also work laying on a white sheeted bed, I think, but her dress would have to be another color.
Liben, I don't recall what she was wearing underneath but I suspect you are right. That's a negative I think , but maybe it keeps you guessin'
N8, I don't see her pushing up. I think it may look like that just a little because of the way she's bending her right leg, which forces her thigh up a bit. Certainly voyeuristic, and maybe stalking too ... if we had a little fake blood, she could have been a murder victim here (but that can wait till Halloween when it's OK to do scary stuff like that!)
Phif, I see the reddish cast but actually the exposure here is brighter than the original shot. But it's also slightly more saturated too, maybe making her skin turn reddish (not sure).
Grace, great ideas! Sounds like a production, but to make her seem like she's floating, and maybe placing things under her to make sure the viewer KNOWS that, would be very awesome (maybe like The Exorcist?). It is impersonal, but with a scene like this, not sure eye contact is good... tried it on a few shots - see below.
Do you prefer these? I felt that her eyes and smile may rob some of the mood from the scene

Yeah the more I see the clothes underneath the sadder I am. It's really noticeable that she's wearing something under there - looks like pants as you can see where she apparently unbuckled them in shot #1.
I don't think that's a wig Asmarlak, but know knows?
