I have to wait for one to cooperate. Minor crop only. What do you think?

Looks pretty good to me. Not spectacular but might look really good blown way up.
You got the right end in focus.

I'll give you the hats off simply because I tried shooting some dragonflies this weekend and catching one in flight is darn near impossible. NIce shot on a tough subject.

Yes I tried and before you could focus the dragonfly would be just gone. I was just lucky, it was taken hand held with my 70-300 zoom, find it in view finder at 70mm then zoom and take photo with shutter set at 1/500. Thank you for a bright sunny day.

You did great! Definitely an "A" for effort.

For macros (even in-flight ones) watch those backgrounds. OOF highlights tend to overpower macro and telephoto shots. Keep in mind those areas against which you want to shoot moving subjects and wait for the right one to line up on it.

Yes there is alot of fare from the water. Unluckily I really didn't have much time and the only good spots on the pod are on the north and west sides. Back to mucking the stalls.
