    Dappled Light

    One doesn't often see the light played this way - how did I do with the capture????

    I like the light textures, but like many shots taken in the middle of the day the sunlight kind of bleaches out the richness even with clouds. That is why I tone map stuff like this and blend it in with darker layers. You can selectively enhance lights and dark areas, and I personally think it kind of offsets the light issues you get shooting when it is neither dawn or sunset.

    Hi!
    I think you've done an excellent job balancing the shadows and highlights here without having to use extremes like tine mapping to depict details. After all 1/2 of the point of the picture is the contrast between the light and shadow. Great job, I like it.

    One small critique would be that the horizon almost bisects the picture, but as with the shadows, the clouds play a large part on the subject as wall. Perhaps a small crop from the top and side would correct it but it's a personal preference.
