Has lovely abstract movement--it flows. I like the tilt of the trees.

Nice. The tree at the right really balances the photos and give it a 3D feel. How is it processed to get that color?

Nice shot Yoyo This isn't a critique so much as for curiousity's sake, may I ask why you opted for red for this shot? Just seems to be such a peaceful scene but, you would normally associate red with aggression.

Hi Don and Greg, Thanks for the kind words.

Hi LL, Thanks for sharing your perspective. The photo was converted to B&W and then tainted using the colour and saturation adjustment.

Hi XK, I had thought about the association of the colour and aggression although I did not want to deliver the aggressive feeling. I found the colour was a bit unusual and it may be a good combination with the image. I had thought about using "Dancing in Mars" as the title but felt that it may be too surreal. I am really glad that you asked the question.

Thanks yoyo It definitely adds an interesting element to the shot. It made me stop, look, and ponder, where as if you had used a calmer color I might have ended up passing it by.

Yow! Took me by surprise. It looks to me like one of those pre-press proof sheets or whatever, you know, the magenta color ones. It has an unearthly feel to it. Very interesting. Not sure what it reminds me of but somehow Fahrenheit 451 comes to mind. GB

I also feel as Don stated this has a very strong Abstract movement that flows nicely. I also wondered about the Red color treatment. Do not the Chinese believe that the color Red represents prosperity, good fortune and wealth?
It is a nice piece of work, yoyo.

Hi Arron, Thanks again for the comments.

Hi GB, I like your interpretation of the colour with unearthly thing. Thanks for the insight.

Hi Gary, Thanks for sharing your thoughts as always. Yes, red usually means prosperity and happiness to Chinese. The lucky money given to children in the Chinese New Year is always wrapped in a red envelope.
