Dancer's Grace?

Here is a photo that I took while checking the settings for my daughter's dance recital.

No flash used and I just happen to grab it.

I don't do this sort of photography, but it looks good for a posed shot. If its supposed to be a dance then a little movement in the hands would be good to give it the dynamic feel.

Saying that I like it as it is very moody.

Phil, the lighting is good and moody and your exposure is right on. Good that there was no flash used. I do not think it's a good idea to use flash anyway for on stage performers.
I'm not really feeling the grace here, although the arm and hand positions are good. Not to say she is not graceful, but I don't think you nailed the golden moment so to speak.
I am bothered by her legs cut off here. I think if you are going to cut off some of the bottom, it might be best to go for a tight crop of the upper body and arms . Cropping up from the bottom just below her right hand so that it is a horizontal frame looks a lot better to me. Otherwise, include her entire body.

I am somewhat "unhappy" about the cut off legs. I also think that I could have lowered shutter speed and gotten some "motion" from the hands. I did not photograph her dance, just this one shot. I wish I would have taken the time to get a sequence.
