    Damsel in distresss

This weekend will be our 5th wedding aniversary, so my wife and I were goofing around this evening and she broke out her wedding dress. She was game to try out a few "Snidely Whiplash/Penelope Pitstop" shots and this was probably the best of the bunch. Not sure if it works or not and would like some other opinions. It has been cropped from the top a bit to remove a relatively large chunk of black sky and a distracting reflection from the adjacent set of rails.

I like it Jetrim.. it has a catching angle and composition, and her expression and pose work IMO. The only part I question is the background.. it's a bit rustic for the scene. But maybe you planned it like that? Might be a tad brighter too.

Nice shot, I agree with GB1 about lightening just a tad the stairs, but I on the other hand like the background and think it bodes well with the purity of the white dress not to mention the rustic hair color. S

OK looks like you guys missed the "Snidely Whiplash" reference. This image of the '60s/'70s cartoon character may put things in context:

That's why the background was chosen. It probably would have been better to shoot earlier in the evening, but when the wife feigns a momentary interest in your hobby, you take what you can get I tried bumping up the flash output to get more of the background but then the detail in the dress was totally blown out.
