    the cuplrit

I was walking back ffrom the hospital after my XRay, and thought things were dropping on my head as I walked past some bushes overhanging the path.
A little further on it hapened again, with a soft clicking noise in the background.
Looked up and saw these two having a hearty meal on berries.

It was almost the last of the day's sun by the time I got back with a camera, and only after I lost the marvellous light did the acrobat come out.

Taken with the Minolta A2, I plan to go back with the 20D and see how much better I can get it.

Good shots Paul. It's fun to watch these guys feed. I spent a whole afternoon (without a camera) watching a couple work over some large sunflowers where they had to get quite acrobatic on the swaying flower heads. Looking forward to the followup.

    Postscript

I think it would be worth doing a little color correction work on these. Selecting the sky and then inverting the selection is real easy. Here's a quicky example that I'm sure could be improved upon.

Nice work on the colour correction.
I was thinking of waiting for a sunny day and using light

I really have to learn how to use the Photoshop Elements that came with the 20D.
You made it look so much better !

I enjoyed these pictures.....squirrels are comical creatures. Many a time I've stopped my car to wait for a squirrel to decide which side of the street he is going to run to!

BTW, PSElements is excellent and quite easy to get some nice results. I do very little editing, but PSE isn't hard work - at least not to the extent that I use it - but I'm always happy with the results.
