This woman in front has 4 arms !!
It seems the second in line wasn't in line, but a bit behind it - shame but it's live and you can't direct the performance.

I wonder if a tight square crop would work, removing those spectators in the back right.

I kinda like the four arm illusion

Yes, I was debating about the spectators in the back right but I thought the extra arm from the dancer was important enuogh to keep it there. I'll reconsider.

    Thanks for your comment.

I didn't get closer due to the fact the performance wasn't even on stage but 6 feet in front of the first row, ground level. Also there were event photogs moving about so I dind't want to get in their way. I tried to get a beter perspective in audience seating but it was too packed to get through.

Even if I were right in front of them I think the disorganized stage in the background would've been an annoyance and the setting sun would've cast harsh shadows on their face (since it was setting directly to their right).

I thought I was already being bold by taking my vantage point but I guess I should try harder. What are they going to do? Arrest me?

I would have tried a fill flash to get rid of the face shadow and a high aperture to try and darken the background.

Thanks for the tip Ronnoco. I've actually been wanting to try that technique for a while now.
