    Crouching 454 - Self Portrait

One of the latest in a series of self portraits in reflections made while working car shows. Thoughts and comments welcome!

Thanks for the replies and I'm pleased you find it unique.

It should be added that there's no manipulation of the image, just some resizing and adjustments for the web. The whole image, like the rest of the series, plays entirely on reflection and positioning.

Thanks again for taking the time to make comments!

Nice shot. As you may have seen I recently posted 3 car photos. Cars are one of those subjects that are so popular that it takes a unique vehicle or perspective, lighting, etc. to make it interesting. You did well here.

Like others said, different. But you're very small in the reflection for it to be seriously considered a self portrait. Great idea, though.

    CF,

Yes I saw your post and really like the 'flame' shot as I mentioned. I shoot around a dozen public car shows a year, plus that many more private/custom shows and numerous private shoots for automobile owners. As a result I get a few good ones Thanks for your comments.

    GB,

It is the concept of the Self Portrait with these photographs and my being only an element in them. This is a serious self portrait with me being illustrated working and becoming part of the resulting photograph. Glad you like the idea if not the final result! Thanks for taking time to comment.

CDP - No, I actually do like the results! Just not how small you are. But fenders are always like that ...
