I posted all of these on the new "nature" forum, but would appreciate your comments and suggestions. All taken with a D70 and Sigma 50-500 lens, all at 500mm and ISO 400. The Osprey is matrix metered 1/1600 and f/11 -1 overexposure and adjusted in Photoshop Elements. The Ibis is spot-metered at 1/500 and f/8. The woodpecker is 1/500 and f/10 with matrix-metered flash.

All very nice! The Ibis with the trailing water droplets is my favorite. The water adds that unexpected element and balances what looks like a small drop on the bill.

Very nice! The woodpecker rocks, but maybe I just like him most cuz his mohawk

All very nice, the way the woodpecker's tail feathers blend into the tree is super and as mentioned, the trailing water on the last image is super.
