    To crop or not

I like this shot, but wonder about the crop since this has the main subject kind of 'bullseyed'. I like having most of the large BG leaf as well as the shadow of the main subject. I'd like to know what you'd suggest. Go ahead and post the crop you suggest if you want.

i say keep it! cuz the big leaf looks very simetrical (spelling) to the smaller leaf! i think it adds depth to the photo

    Re: To crop or not

I like what you have here Chunk, but I do think it can benefit from a crop. For me, the shape of the big leaf in the bg mimicks the main subject leaf. Also, the shadow on the big leaf behind the subject leaf really allows it to pop out and gives us all the edge detail and shape to admire. The area to the right of the subject leaf is not important to me here, and so I feel that cropping this into an 8x10 format by taking off from the right side would bring the treats in this up closer.
It's good as it is, but I feel the crop could make it better.

    Yes, crop from the right.

I am a little bummed the the background leaf is cut off on the left.
    No, I DON'T need that.

I agree with MB regarding the background leaf being cut off but this can be remedied by a small increase in canvas size and then a little cloning. if you were to crop then it should be from the right but I feel this is not essential.

Thanks to you all for the good suggestions.

    Anyone prefer the B/W conversion?

Good work, Chunk I do like the b&w version alot, but cannot say that I prefer it over the color. They are both equally nice in their own rite.
Ohhh, all these options we have now makes life so difficult . . .
