Should I crop this further or leave as-is?
Every time I take away from the edges, it loses its angle.

The image works better in my view of you crop off the top, just underneath that thing that turns the blinds. I think it's distracting and by removing it you give the image more emptyness it needs, it "benefits" the cat, the main subject. Personally I would also crop the right (red/blue book) to have less clutter and the bottom, just above the watermark, to change the balance between the top and bottom "empty" spaces towards the top empty space which is more effective in my opinion.
