I would just rotate the canvas 1 degree or maybe a half a degree in PS and then do a square crop. I run into shots that are a little "off" all the time and that's how I do it...

As far as the shot goes, I like how I'm led into the center, but there's really nothing exciting in the center when I get there. Also, it could use a slight bump in contrast or saturation.

Well the photo is not square it's rotated. After you rotate it just do a square crop just to clean it up. This is one type of problem I do not use photo shop to correct as my library program has a nice function: Rotate to line, just select the function draw the line and hit enter, then just crop to square up the borders. (I use Thumbs Plus)

thanks guys! yes, I tried rotating it about 1 degree, but then it still looked a bit crooked and I wasn't sure if cropping would do it, but i guess it will! freygr- i'll try what you suggested and maybe i'll check out that program!
mrmadcow-i do agree about the photo not being that interesting. i mainly posted it as an example of the crookedness. i did increase the saturation there, but not sure if it really stands out otherwise. i guess i'll play around with it some more. thanks again for the comments!

Nothing seems to be in focus to me. Were you hand holding the camera? This shot would probably be improved by using a smaller aperture while employing a tripod. You have interesting objects at three different distances. I'd try to get them all sharper.

chunk-yep I was just holding the camera, didn't have a tripod. this has been a consistent problem with my photos, so I think the time has come to start looking for a tripod.
