Cows with a View...and of course, a barn.

The cow picture is pretty straight-forward. The other one, I was sort of going for a dramatic view...I'm wondering if maybe the foreground is a little too busy though...

Wonderful shots. First one is a beautiful view, but the second one, wow! Those clouds are stunning. So wispy and awesome!

    Nice shooting,

Both pictures seem to be a bit dim, and in the first picture the clouds seem to have a brown/yellow tint. I would brighten the second picture so the barn doesn't blend into the hill so much. I don't think the second picture is too busy, just too dim. Brighten them up and then lets see what else they need.

Hi, I love that view and is that a large ship in the distance? How big and deep is the river? and is that a dam that the ship is in front of?

    The second photo -
I love the clouds and I love the barn and machinery. You could even get another 2 pictures if you cropped above the barn - as said the tones need a bit of work

It's actually a lock/dam in the distance...The Lower Granite Dam and Lock, to be exact. They send barges through it, but that's about it as far as I know.

I worked a little bit on the other picture, and tweaked it about as far as I was comfortable doing...Well, I'm actually too lazy to spend too much time on it, but it started to look a little artificial if I messed with it too much, so I left it where I felt the best balance was. I upped the exposure of the RAW file, and then burned the sky in, and then dodged the barn and other highlights in to bring the barn out and give a little more depth. Hopefully it's an improvement over the original.

Much better! Lightening up the barn and seeding thing (don't know the correct term here ;) ) does wonders. The browns and goldens come out very well, and the cirrus clouds make a nice addition. Much better. Can't really think of anything else to say though, dumbstruck I guess .
